Graveyard Clash Royale Guide — Best Combos, Skeleton Placement & Tips 2025
Master Graveyard in Clash Royale: how to place skeletons, best Giant combos, counters and freeze timing.
Graveyard is a 5-elixir Legendary spell that continuously spawns skeletons at a targeted location for 9 seconds. When placed on the enemy tower, 12+ skeletons chip the tower for 800–1200 total damage if uncountered. The key is giving the Graveyard time to work by tanking with a Giant or Golem.
Graveyard Placement
On the tower: Place Graveyard directly on the Princess Tower. Skeletons spawn spread around it — the opponent must use an AoE spell or multiple units to clear them all.
Behind the giant: Drop Giant, let it walk to the bridge, then cast Graveyard when it crosses. The Giant tanks the tower's shots while skeletons destroy the tower from the inside.
Best Combos
Giant + Graveyard: Classic. Giant tanks; Graveyard kills the tower while defenders focus the Giant.
Graveyard + Freeze: The most devastating combo. Cast Graveyard, then Freeze. 2 seconds of frozen defenders = 5–8 skeleton attacks on the tower = 400–600 tower damage from one cycle.
Giant + Freeze + Graveyard: Three-card lethal push. At 14 elixir total, only viable in double elixir, but nearly unstoppable.
Counters to Graveyard
Countering the spell itself: Arrows, Fireball, Tornado — AoE spells kill clusters of spawning skeletons instantly. If you don't have AoE, the skeletons will destroy your tower.
Countering the Giant + Graveyard: Inferno Tower on the Giant + Arrows or Log on the Graveyard. Must execute both simultaneously.
The Freeze problem: If you see an opponent running Graveyard + Freeze, keep Mega Minion or another high-DPS air unit available to survive the Freeze duration and clean up remaining skeletons.
