Responsible Gaming

Our Position

SnapPick exists to make gaming more enjoyable and less frustrating — not to maximise the time you spend in-game or the money you spend on it. We believe gaming should be a source of fun and community, and we take seriously our role as a tool that players, some of them young, use as part of their gaming routine.

This page describes the guardrails we have built into SnapPick and the resources available if gaming is creating problems for you or someone you know.

Age Guidance

Brawl Stars and Clash Royale are rated for players aged 9+ and 7+ respectively by most regional rating bodies. SnapPick itself contains no violence, gambling content, or adult material.

However, SnapPick is ad-supported. Display advertising is filtered through Google AdSense's content policies, which restrict ads for adult products, gambling, and certain categories of products. We recommend that parents review the app with children under 13 before unsupervised use.

Users must be at least 16 years old to use SnapPick independently. Users under 16 should use SnapPick with parental consent and supervision. See our Terms of Service for the full age policy.

Screen Time

Using a companion tool can extend the time you engage with a game. We encourage all players — but especially younger players — to use Brawl Stars and Clash Royale with built-in time limits:

  • iOS Screen Time (Settings → Screen Time → App Limits) allows per-app daily time limits and downtime schedules.
  • Android Digital Wellbeing (Settings → Digital Wellbeing → Dashboard) provides equivalent controls.
  • Supercell's in-game timer — Brawl Stars includes a daily playtime timer in Settings. Consider enabling it.

In-App Purchases and Spending

Brawl Stars and Clash Royale are free-to-play games with significant in-app purchase options (gems, Brawl Pass, offers, skins). SnapPick does not sell or facilitate any in-game purchases.

Our upgrade priority and resource advisor tools are designed to help you get more value out of what you already have, not to pressure you into spending. Specifically:

  • We never recommend purchasing gems or specific offers as the solution to a recommendation. Our advice is always based on in-game earnable resources.
  • When we show upgrade costs, they reflect gold and card requirements — not real-money equivalents.
  • We do not receive commission or referral revenue from Supercell or any in-game store.

If you are concerned about spending on mobile games — yours or a family member's — both Apple and Google provide purchase history and controls:

  • iOS: Settings → [Your Name] → Media & Purchases → Purchase History
  • Android: Google Play → Profile icon → Payments & subscriptions

Signs of Unhealthy Play

Gaming becomes a problem when it interferes with sleep, school, work, relationships, or physical health. Common warning signs include:

  • Feeling anxious, irritable, or depressed when unable to play.
  • Losing track of time and regularly playing much longer than intended.
  • Skipping meals, sleep, or social activities to play.
  • Spending more money on in-app purchases than is comfortable or affordable.
  • Using gaming to escape from problems rather than address them.

If these apply to you or someone you know, we encourage seeking support.
