The Battle Ram is a 4-elixir Rare card that charges forward at high speed and spawns 2 Barbarians on death. It's the fastest-deploying ground win condition in Clash Royale — dropped at the bridge, it reaches the tower in under 2 seconds, faster than most defenses can be deployed.
Why Battle Ram is a Bridge Spam Cornerstone
Three properties make it uniquely powerful:
- Speed: Charges to the tower in 1.8 seconds from the bridge — too fast for slow defenses.
- On-death Barbarians: Killing the Ram doesn't neutralize the push; 2 Barbarians continue attacking.
- Low cost: At 4 elixir, it's cheap enough to pair with PEKKA (7 elixir) and still be ahead on trade if the push damages the tower.
PEKKA Bridge Spam Combo
The most powerful use: PEKKA + Battle Ram on the same side simultaneously.
- PEKKA (7 elixir) + Battle Ram (4 elixir) = 11 elixir investment.
- The opponent must deal with both simultaneously — Battle Ram arrives first, drawing defensive fire, then PEKKA arrives with full HP.
- Even if Battle Ram is stopped, the Barbarians survive and tank for PEKKA.
Defending Against Battle Ram
Slow it before it charges: Battle Ram must reach full charge to deal maximum damage. Slowing effects (Ice Golem, Ice Spirit, Tornado) interrupt the charge.
Kill it before the bridge: A high-DPS unit placed 3+ tiles from the bridge can intercept Battle Ram before it accelerates to full speed.
Spare Barbarian response: When Battle Ram dies and spawns 2 Barbarians, use Arrows or Fireball immediately — they have moderate HP but will deal significant damage if left unchecked.
