Cookie Policy
Last updated: April 21, 2025
1. What Are Cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit a website. They allow the website to remember certain information about your visit and behaviour, making subsequent visits faster and more useful.
Similar technologies — such as local storage, session storage, and pixels — serve comparable purposes and are covered by this policy where applicable.
2. Legal Framework
Under Spanish Law 34/2002 on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI-CE), and in accordance with the GDPR and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD), we are required to obtain your informed consent before placing any non-essential cookies on your device.
Only strictly necessary technical cookies may operate without your prior consent. All other categories require explicit opt-in.
3. Cookies We Use
3.1 Strictly Necessary Cookies
These cookies are essential for SnapPick to function correctly. They cannot be disabled without breaking core functionality. No consent is required for these.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
snappick_consent | SnapPick (localStorage) | Stores your cookie consent choice (accepted / denied / pending) to avoid repeated prompts | Until manually cleared |
3.2 Analytics Cookies
Analytics cookies help us understand how visitors interact with SnapPick — which pages are most visited, how long sessions last, and where users drop off. This data is aggregated and used exclusively to improve the service.
These cookies are only activated if you accept cookies.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
_ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users by assigning a randomly generated number as a client identifier | 2 years |
_ga_* | Google Analytics | Maintains and tracks session state | 2 years |
_gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes unique users for a single-day session | 24 hours |
3.3 Advertising Cookies
Advertising cookies are used to display ads relevant to your interests. They may track your activity across websites to build a profile of your browsing behaviour.
These cookies are only activated if you accept cookies. If you deny consent, non-personalised ads may still be displayed, but without any behavioural targeting or cross-site tracking.
| Name | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
__gads | Google AdSense | Registers ad engagement, used to measure effectiveness of advertising campaigns | 13 months |
__gpi | Google AdSense | Stores user preferences selected while viewing ads | 13 months |
IDE | Google DoubleClick | Used to measure conversions and present targeted ads based on past visits | 13 months |

4. How Consent Works on SnapPick
When you first visit SnapPick, a cookie consent banner is displayed. You have two options:
- Accept All: You consent to analytics and advertising cookies being placed on your device. Google Analytics and Google AdSense scripts are loaded and may collect data as described above.
- Deny: Only strictly necessary cookies are used. No analytics or advertising scripts are loaded. No data is shared with Google for tracking or advertising purposes.
Your choice is stored locally in your browser under the key snappick_consent. No personal data is transmitted to our servers to record your consent decision.
5. Third-Party Cookies
Some cookies described in this policy are set by third-party services (Google). SnapPick does not control these third-party cookies. Their collection and use of data are governed by their own privacy policies:
Third-party data transfers to the United States are covered by Standard Contractual Clauses under GDPR Chapter V. For more information, see our Privacy Policy.
6. Managing and Revoking Consent
You may change your cookie preferences at any time using the button below. Revoking consent will take effect immediately — analytics and advertising scripts will no longer be loaded on subsequent page views.
Current preference: No preference set
You can also manage or delete cookies through your browser settings. Note that disabling cookies at the browser level may affect the functionality of SnapPick and other websites you visit. Refer to your browser's help documentation for instructions:
You may also opt out of interest-based advertising from Google via Google Ad Settings, or from participating advertisers via the Your Online Choices platform (EU).
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new cookies, change providers, or in response to legal or regulatory changes. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page will always reflect the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
