Editorial Policy

Purpose of This Policy
This policy describes how SnapPick produces, reviews, updates, and corrects all content published on this site — including recommendation outputs, strategy guides, tier lists, methodology explanations, and trust/policy pages. Our goal is that every page on SnapPick is accurate, verifiable, and free from undisclosed commercial influence.
How Recommendations Are Produced
SnapPick recommendations are generated by a deterministic rule-based engine, not by a generative AI that could hallucinate data. The engine combines:
- Official game data from the Supercell API (player profiles, card collections, battle histories) and BrawlAPI (brawler statistics, map data, event rotations).
- Curated meta data including win rates, pick rates, ban rates, and role coverage scores assembled and reviewed by the SnapPick team from community-verified sources.
- Player-specific context — your owned cards, brawlers, trophy count, preferred archetype, and game mode — to personalise the output without storing personally identifying information beyond your session.
For a detailed explanation of the scoring formula, see our Methodology page.
Strategy Guides and Written Content
Written guides on SnapPick are drafted by the editorial team with direct reference to in-game mechanics, patch notes, and verifiable community research. AI writing tools may be used as drafting aids for structure and language; all factual claims, scoring values, and strategic recommendations are verified by a human editor before publication.
We disclose AI involvement on any guide where AI contributed substantially to the draft. For details on how we use AI, see our AI Transparency page.
Review and Update Process
| Content type | Trigger for review | Who reviews |
|---|---|---|
| Recommendation engine outputs | Every balance patch or meta shift confirmed by Supercell | Diego García (digsadev) |
| Tier lists and meta snapshots | Weekly, or immediately after a major patch | Diego García (digsadev) |
| Strategy guides | When referenced mechanics change, or on reader correction | Diego García (digsadev) |
| Policy and trust pages | When legal requirements change, or annually | Diego García (digsadev) |
Each page carries a "Last updated" date. When substantive changes are made, the date is updated and the nature of the change is noted in our internal change log.
Corrections Policy
We correct factual errors promptly. If a recommendation was wrong due to stale data, a scoring bug, or an editorial mistake, we:
- Fix the error as soon as it is confirmed — typically within 48 hours for recommendation engine issues, five business days for guide content.
- Update the "Last updated" timestamp on the affected page.
- Do not silently delete or alter history: we note corrections inline where the previous content could have meaningfully misled readers.
To report an error, email snappickapp@gmail.com with the page URL, the incorrect claim, and a source or evidence for the correction.
Commercial Independence
SnapPick earns revenue through Google AdSense display advertising. This has no influence on recommendation outputs or guide content. Specifically:
- No sponsored rankings or paid placements exist in any tier list or recommendation.
- We have no affiliate arrangements with game publishers, item shops, or third-party services that would benefit from our recommendations.
- Advertising partners have no editorial access and no ability to request or remove content.
