Crow Brawl Stars Guide — Best Build, Poison & Counter Tips 2025
Master Crow in Brawl Stars: best gadgets, star powers, how to use poison correctly, counters and zone control tips.
Crow is a Legendary Assassin who deals sustained poison damage. Unlike burst assassins (Mortis, Leon), Crow chips away at enemies over 2–4 seconds with his venom-tipped daggers. Every hit poisons the target, reducing healing effects and dealing tick damage.
Crow's Core Mechanic: Poison Anti-Heal
Crow's poison does two things: deals tick damage over 2 seconds AND reduces all healing received by 50% while active. This makes Crow uniquely effective against:
- Poco (healing super)
- Byron (healing attacks)
- Sandy (healing in sandstorm super)
Against healing-heavy team compositions, Crow is first-pick material.
Best Modes for Crow
| Mode | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Gem Grab | ✅ Excellent | Poisons gem carriers; anti-heal disrupts support brawlers |
| Knockout | ✅ Strong | Sustained damage chips enemies down each round |
| Bounty | ✅ Good | Long-range, mobile, safe star accumulation |
| Showdown | ✅ Good | Excellent dueling with poison + mobility |
| Brawl Ball | ⚠️ Situational | Low damage output; better in support role |
| Heist | ❌ Weak | Poison DPS is too slow for safe-race scenarios |
Best Build
Gadget: Slowing Toxin — Crow's next attack applies a slowing poison instead of the regular venom. Excellent for catching squishy targets trying to escape.
Star Power: Extra Toxic — Crow's poison permanently reduces the attack stat of poisoned enemies by a flat amount. Stacking this on a tank or win condition makes them significantly easier for your team to defend against.
Advanced Poison Kiting
Crow's dagger throws arc in 3 directions (a fan spread). At mid-range:
- Hit the target with all 3 daggers (full spread at 4–5 tiles).
- Retreat immediately — let the poison tick.
- Re-engage as the poison expires to re-apply.
This "hit and fade" pattern means Crow rarely takes return fire. He's always moving.
Super Usage: Dive and Escape
Crow's Super launches him in a direction, damaging enemies in his path. On landing he throws daggers radially. Uses:
- Initiating: Dive into the back line to poison support brawlers.
- Escaping: Leap over a wall when cornered.
- Double-super: In Double Elixir, charge two supers back-to-back for a dive-retreat-dive combo.
Counters
Hard counters: Frank, Bull, El Primo — tanks absorb the chip damage and close distance faster than Crow can poison them down.
What Crow destroys: All support brawlers, healing-dependent teams, squishy low-HP targets.
