Byron Brawl Stars Guide — Best Build, Heal & Damage Tips 2025
Master Byron in Brawl Stars: how to use his dual heal/damage attacks, best gadgets, star powers, modes and counters.
Byron is a Mythic Support brawler with a uniquely versatile attack: his syringes heal friendly brawlers they hit and damage enemies. He can simultaneously attack an enemy and heal a teammate with the same shot if they're aligned — an interaction no other brawler replicates.
Byron's Core Dual Mechanic
Every Byron syringe:
- Heals the first friendly brawler it contacts.
- Damages the first enemy brawler it contacts.
- If neither is in the path, it's wasted.
This means Byron's positioning is critical: he must stand behind teammates, aligned with enemies, for shots to both deal damage AND heal simultaneously.
Best Modes for Byron
| Mode | Verdict | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Gem Grab | ✅ Excellent | Heals gem carrier while damaging attackers from the back |
| Knockout | ✅ Strong | Long-range healing keeps teammates topped up round after round |
| Hot Zone | ✅ Good | Heals zone holders; damages pushers |
| Brawl Ball | ⚠️ Situational | Fragile; ball fights are close-range |
| Bounty | ✅ Good | Long-range healing is safe from star-loss |
| Heist | ❌ Weak | No meaningful damage on the safe |
Best Build
Gadget: Injection — Byron instantly heals himself for a large HP amount. This is his self-preservation tool — Byron has no escape mobility, so self-healing buys time to retreat behind cover.
Star Power: Injection — (different from gadget, same name in some regions) increases the heal amount per syringe. For a pure healing support role, this scales Byron's team sustain significantly in longer fights.
Positioning for Dual-Hit Shots
Byron's maximum value comes from dual hits. The setup:
- Stand directly behind a teammate who is fighting an enemy.
- Fire toward the enemy — the shot heals the teammate on the way through, then damages the enemy.
- Stay 3–5 tiles behind your teammate; too close and you take splash damage, too far and the heal misses.
In Gem Grab: stand behind the gem carrier, aligned with whoever is threatening them.
Counters
Hard counters: Edgar, Mortis, Crow (Crow's poison counters Byron's healing by reducing incoming heal effectiveness).
What Byron beats: Sustained brawl compositions that deal moderate damage over time — Byron out-heals them while damaging back.
