Miner Poison Clash Royale Guide — Deck, Control Strategy & Tips 2025
Complete Miner Poison guide for Clash Royale: full deck list, chip damage strategy, Tornado synergy and how to win in double elixir.
Miner Poison is Clash Royale's premier control archetype. Rather than winning with a single big push, it applies constant small pressure (chip damage) while maintaining defensive control until the tower reaches a killable HP range. The Miner is the pressure; the Poison kills everything protecting the tower.
The Deck
| Card | Elixir | Role |
|---|---|---|
| Miner | 3 | Win condition (chip damage) |
| Poison | 4 | Kills defenders; tower chip |
| Ice Wizard | 3 | Slows; defensive anchor |
| Inferno Dragon | 4 | Anti-tank; defensive carry |
| Musketeer | 4 | Long-range defense |
| The Log | 2 | Ground swarm counter |
| Bats | 2 | Air defense; cycle |
| Tornado | 3 | King Tower; groups troops |
Average Elixir: ~3.1
The Chip Cycle
- Drop Miner on the tower (back of tower placement).
- Immediately layer Poison.
- Tornado any defenders into the Poison AoE.
- Miner gets 3–6 uncontested hits: 200–400 chip damage.
- Repeat every full cycle (~15 seconds at 3.1 AEC).
A tower at 3000 HP needs 8–10 successful chip cycles to destroy it. Miner Poison applies this pressure consistently without ever committing to an expensive push.
Defensive Discipline
Miner Poison works because you never over-spend on offense. Your average elixir is 3.1 — low enough that after spending 7 elixir on Miner + Poison, you're back to full in 20 seconds.
Defend reactively: Inferno Dragon for tanks, Ice Wizard + Tornado for crowds, Log for swarms.
